Chapter 31

Sidney came back to my house tonight and we curled up together on the sofa with our hot chocolates after a brilliant but tiring night.

“I want to thank you for everything, especially arranging for me to meet Wayne Gretzky today, it was a dream come true. I love you with all my heart”.

“I love you too Sidney. I said.

“I have been thinking lately that you have been spending a lot of time here, therefore, would you like to move in with me on a more permanent basis?” I say to him without looking at him.

“Gill, I don’t think I even need to answer that, I would love too.” He answers excitedly.

“When we have the Lemieux family round for tea on Thursday you can talk to them then about moving out, remember to be gentle, Mario enjoys having you around. You are like a son to him”.

Sidney headed home soon after and I was asleep pretty quickly after that.

Ring Ring, my god, I forgot how annoying it can be when that phone wakes me up. As I look at the clock it reminds me of the night that that I first spoke to Mario when he asked me for a telephone interview.
