Chapter 25

The car arrived to take us to the venue. Kirsty had asked Mario to walk her down the isle, that man was like a father to each and everyone of us. He presented Kirsty and I with gorgeous chains and pendants which he said he would be delighted if we would wear them today, they complimented the dress immensely which was by complete coincidence.

When we arrived at the venue I got out first and Kirsty and Mario went round the block again, my Dad and I had done that on my wedding day as we took my Mum and sister-in-law down in the horse and carriage with us.

I spoke to Andy who was still outside and asked him to go and get Kirsty’s Mum and step Dad, they came out just in time for Kirsty coming out of the car. She burst in to tears, she was so happy. Although her step Dad was here she asked Mario if he could still walk her down the isle.

Kirsty and Mario walked down the isle with me walking behind, Geno and Sidney turned to watch and they both looked very impressed and very happy. To Kirsty and my surprise they were both wearing full Scottish kilts and they looked amazing.

The whole day went perfectly. Kirsty and Geno were so happy. I was proud to be part of their day.

We had half an hour of press photographs and other than that it was closed to the press completely. Some fans had found out the location and were standing outside as the whole team were here but we let them be as they were being very well behaved.

It turned out all the team were wearing kilts and even Mario had changed into one after the ceremony. It was amazing to see them all like that considering none of them has a Scottish bone in their body.

Kirsty and Geno headed off on their honeymoon that night, they are only away until Friday as training resumes on Wednesday. Geno is going to miss a few days training but for such a special occasion that is allowed.

They also announced at the wedding reception that Kirsty is pregnant.

Everyone had such an amazing night, I am so pleased that everything went to plan.
